You may think we’re all about bourbon at Mint Julep Tours, but don’t be fooled, we have quite a soft spot for a different kind of brew too, craft beer. Lucky for us (and for you!), craft beer is growing in popularity here in Louisville, and for good reason, as we’ve got a lot of great microbreweries and specialty beer stores around town, like Against the Grain and The Louisville Beer Store, just to name a few.

So, why all the beer talk?…Brewfest, that’s why! Mark your calendar for next Friday, June 22^nd and join us for this awesome event at Louisville Slugger Field from 4pm-10pm. Brewfest kicks off the Louisville Independent Business Alliance’s “Independents Week” which promotes the patronage of locally-owned businesses and the grassroots movement to “keep Louisville weird”. There will live music, a silent auction, merchandise & food and of course plenty to sample, plus admission is FREE.

It’s quite an honor, and we’re proud of our team members! If you haven’t taken a tour, we invite you to do so soon. The Fall weather has started to creep in, the trees are changing, and there’s no better time to take in the sights, sounds, and “sips” of this great Commonwealth.

Have you noticed the weather starting to turn? What was a treacherously hot and humid summer has begun its transition into the cooler, calmer days of autumn. When that happens, you know it’s an ideal time to enjoy an excursion into the rich history of fall events, festivals, and other attractions of Kentucky.

Horse Farm Tours are a great way to enjoy the changing seasons, as you will tour one of the famous horse farms found in the rolling hills of central Kentucky. We’ll be visiting our favorite spots this fall, and you will certainly want to take in the sights of the changing leaves along the way. It’s a great way to enjoy the weather, learn more about the rich history of horse farming in the commonwealth, and take a few photographs along the way.

We, of course, continue to offer our Bourbon Trail Tours, and invite you to join in one of these day-long journeys with us. We’ll hop on one of our buses and head to a couple of world-famous distilleries. You’ll learn about the process of creating whiskey bourbon, enjoy a meal, and of course, a tasting of one of these grand drinks. Don’t worry. We’re driving.

We’re super-excited to share a new program we’ve been working on….our Roll out the Barrel program. This specialty tour is a one-of-a-kind experience that you’ll be able to appreciate for years to come. Here’s how it works:

You’ll start your day at a bourbon “hot spot” in Louisville, where you’ll enjoy a wonderful brunch. Then, you’ll travel through Bourbon country and arrive at one of the famed bourbon aging warehouses. Once there, you’ll meet the master distiller, who will have a treat for you that has literally been years in the making.

The master distiller will have several barrels of bourbon–aged from nine to eleven years–that he has hand selected for you. You’ll have the opportunity to sample each of the selections and make your choice to be used as your own private label.

This Saturday marks the official kick-off of the Derby Festival with Thunder Over Louisville! Hundreds of thousands of people will gather long the Ohio River, in both Louisville and Southern Indiana, to watch one of the world’s largest airshows and fireworks presentations.
