BOURBON & BASEBALL:
Experience America’s favorite past time with true Kentucky flair. By combining two distinct industries that our region is known for, we’ve created a unique and nostalgic summer outing. Tour Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, home of the Official Bat of Major League Baseball. Learn how they have put prime lumber in the hands of the greatest players of the game since 1884. Continue the baseball themed day with a visit to Louisville Slugger Field for a behind the scenes tour of the stadium; beginning with the Hall of Fame Pavilion and including the press box, locker room, dugout and more. We’ll make a stop for lunch at a local eatery on Louisville’s Urban Bourbon Trail before enjoying a scenic jaunt through Bluegrass countryside as we travel to Jim Beam. You will learn of our proud bourbon heritage and the process in which our favorite secret sauce is made on an expert guided distillery tour followed by a bourbon sampling. Although this tour experience is perfect for the summer months, we look forward to carrying on this slice of Americana throughout the year. Our Bourbon & Baseball Tour is a full day outing from 9AM-4PM and costs $119 per person. Tours should be scheduled in advance.
MOONSHINE & MADNESS
Moonshine & Madness Haunted Highlands Ghost Tour: Guests have the unique opportunity to learn about this city's scandalous past from a paranormal historian on a ride through Louisville's eclectic Highlands neighborhood. Take a trip through the eerie Eastern Cemetery, as well as visit what was once an orphanage home and a “spirited” restaurant. See haunted houses of Louisville’s most famous residents and learn about their ever present sightings, among many more tales from the crypt. This hair raising experience departs from Molly Malone's Tavern on Baxter Ave where tour attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a spooky drink special before the happy haunting begin. This tour is from 7PM-9PM and costs $49 per person and should be scheduled in advance.
ALL WOODFORD, ALL DAY TOUR
Cooperage is the art of barrel making, and it is still being practiced much as it was 200 years ago. Blue Grass Cooperage, founded in 1945, produces new American white oak barrels for the making of Jack Daniels and Woodford Reserve. Join us for a tour of Blue Grass Cooperage and Woodford Reserve Distillery where you will see the artistry behind the creation of bourbon barrels and the bourbon too!
